In a country where Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja are seen as the standard for tech, art, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria. A powerful wave of innovation and creativity is taking root in Akure. The Hive Hub has consistently made efforts to bring technology to the grassroots level. The Hive is quickly becoming a preferred hub for tech startups and established enterprise companies.

“The Hive Incubator is proof that big dreams don’t always need big cities; sometimes, they just need big hearts,” says Folajomi Adegbulugbe, CEO of The Hive Incubator.

The Hive is creating a space where developers, artists, and entrepreneurs coexist and collaborate. The Hive Hub is actively shaping Akure’s reputation by organizing events that attract, develop, and connect local talents.

The Hive’s Inclusive Ecosystem: Building Akure Through Programs & Collaboration

The Hive is rapidly and sporadically changing the local art, tech, and entrepreneurial landscape. The Hive Incubator is bridging the gap by organizing impactful events that bring people together with a common goal, objective, and shared language for career growth and development. The Hub has hosted two editions of the Founders Breakfast, where founders in Akure come together to engage in meaningful conversations, collaborate, and access better opportunities. The Founders Breakfast is an exclusive gathering of visionary founders, industry leaders, and bold thinkers.

In addition to these ecosystem-building programs, The Hive is investing in local entrepreneurs to fuel scalable business growth. So far, several entrepreneurs have benefited from this investment initiative, including

  • Adegbamigbe Adewumi, founder of NiO Agro
  • Damilola Akinterinwa, founder of YesBeauty
  • Adekanye Samuel, founder of Avs Integrated Farm’s
  • Ajuwa Patience Sinla, founder of iBOSS FOOD
  • Oluwagbami Favour, founder of Native Bowl
  • Fikayo Aderibigbe, founder of Farm Haus

The Hive Hub also organized a Sketch and Chill event, a live art experience that connected talented artists across Akure, giving them a space to share their stories. Additionally, the Hub hosted a VR Experience event, where participants got hands-on experience with cutting-edge virtual reality technology that is shaping the world while connecting with fellow tech enthusiasts. To expand our reach and engage with wider networks, we have also hosted frequent Twitter Spaces to spark conversations and collaborate with other organizations across the nation.
