CcHUB, Ilorin Innovation Hub, and IHS Nigeria Launch Multi-State Innovation Challenge & Hackathon for 2025

In a strategic move to boost economic diversification and empower the next generation of innovators across Nigeria, Co-creation HUB (CcHUB), in collaboration with the Ilorin Innovation Hub and backed by IHS Nigeria, has officially launched the Ilorin Innovation Challenge & Hackathon 2025.

The initiative, which spans across Kwara, Ondo, Ekiti, and surrounding states, aims to identify and support early-stage tech startups and solutions with the potential to drive regional impact through smart, scalable innovation.

According to the organizers, the program goes beyond typical hackathons; it’s designed as a launchpad for startups seeking to transition from a minimum viable product (MVP) to a scalable business while tackling some of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges.

Tackling Real-World Problems Through Tech

The Innovation Challenge will focus on critical and emerging sectors, including

  • CleanTech and Green Innovation

  • HealthTech

  • EdTech and Higher Education Innovation

  • Artificial Intelligence and Disruptive Technologies

  • Big Data and Connectivity

  • Creative Tech and Digital Studios

  • …and more

“This is an opportunity for builders and thinkers to go beyond ideation and launch products that solve real problems,” the organizers said in a statement.

Funding, Mentorship, and Ecosystem Support

Selected startups and innovators stand to benefit from a comprehensive support package that includes

  • ₦5 million in total startup funding

  • Up to ₦2 million per selected innovation

  • Expert mentorship from experienced founders and technologists

  • Business development support

  • Access to investors, strategic partners, and tech infrastructure

  • Tech entrepreneurs and early-stage startups
